The post is based at Wythenshawe Hospital with occasional rotation to Withington Hospital. The Radiology Department Assistants are fundamental to the smooth running of the department. This role is mainly to provide support to Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy. Radiology is a busy sub-specialty undertaking a wide range of examinations and this role provides the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art environment together with a friendly and dedicated team of staff. The post holder will be expected to provide detailed specialist knowledge and care to the patient and their carers. They will act as a source of specialist advice in the nursing management of patients in their specialist area who require a high level of judgement, discretion and decision-making whilst as an inpatient/outpatient or in a setting external to the Trust.
